Mufassil Islam biography

 Mufassil Islam is a British Bangladeshi polymath. He is a lawyer, freelance journalist, online activist,political analyst and a theologian scholar. His father Mr Muhammad Nazrul Islam was a lawyer and a lawprofessor who was engaged in the legal profession in Bangladesh and in the US. His father was also aprofessor of law at Central Law College in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His father Mr. Nazrul Islam authored thebest-selling law book, “Reflections on the Law of Evidence”. His maternal grandfather Mr KM SadequrRahman was a prominent corporate law practitioner and a shipping tycoon of Bangladesh and the founderof the largest shipping conglomerate of the country, i.e., the High Speed Group.His paternal grandfather MrMuhamad Sulaiman was a Sufi saint. His maternal great grandfather Mr Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed was aMuslim lawyer of East Bengal and his paternal great grandfather Mr Hashem Munshi was an Islamicscholar and a Muslim preacher. He hails from a lineage of Sufi order. His granduncle Mr. Justice NururlIslam was the Chielf Justice of Bangladesh. Mr Islam moved from Bangladesh to the UK in 1993. He livedin the US from 1994 to 1995 and worked for migration law offices in Georgia and New York. Mr. Islam hasworking experiences with Neil Weinrib, PC, New York, (one of the largest immigration law offices in theUS), law offices of Sris PIC, in Fairfax, Virginian, USA, Ashley Bean and Co Solicitors in London, anImmigration law office. Mufassil Islam was an intern at KRW Law in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which is oneof the biggest human rights law offices in the UK, specialising in digital laws, secret services and legacymatters. Mr. Mufassil Islam has LL.B.(Hons) and LL.M. degrees from the University of Dhaka. He is anAdvocate of the Bangladesh Bar Council. He received higher training on Cyber Law from Berkman Centreof the Harvard University, USA. He completed the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test Course from CentralLaw Training, London, UK. Mr. Islam was an Immigration Law Supervisor Caseworker in the UK. Mr Islamhad to give up his PhD on Human Rights Law from the prestigious Trinity College of the Dublin University inthe final year of his research following death threats from the Islamic State. Mr. Islam is one of thestrongest well known voices against terrorism and extremism. He writes and speaks regularly on politicaland theological issues on world renowned printed and electronic media including the Daily Mail, Daily Star,Daily Express, Russian TV and the BBC. He was the Chairman of the For Britain political party in NorthernIreland. As a regular article contributor on several human rights and political issues in various newspapers,Mr. Islam is also well respected in the academic world.
